Finding it hard to get to a healthy weight?

There is no magic or secret about the key to achieving and maintaining a healthy weight. Ultimately, we have to make sensible food choices in reasonable portion sizes and take regular physical exercise. There is no escaping the reality of this truth, and there is no quick fix that can get us there. It takes time, effort and consistency.

One of the difficulties we face is that food is everywhere. After all, we have to eat to live. But it’s not just the food we have at home in the cupboards – it’s the food that colleagues bring into work to share, the meals out we have with friends and family, and the get togethers that always seem to involve food and drink. There is simply way too much of it, and it’s often the very worst sorts of food that are freely available, laden with fat and sugar.

How can hypnotherapy help you to lose weight and take more exercise?

Hypnotherapy offers a unique approach towards weight loss which targets the part of the brain which is resistant to making healthy changes. It is very different from going to a slimming club, because hypnotherapy is designed to change your thinking and behaviour.

Each session is in two parts:

  • The first part will be a discussion about where you are currently, and what you want to achieve next in terms of your eating habits and physical activity. I will help you identify all the difficult areas, and agree concrete steps you can take to overcome them. Each week these steps will be reviewed and redefined.
  • The second part of the session involves using relaxation and visualisation techniques to tackle underlying issues – such as lack of motivation, low mood or high levels of stress. All of these factors compromise our ability to stay in control, and if we are not in control, our good intentions go out of the window. We need to feel calm, relaxed and confident about life if we are to make good decisions on a daily basis: decisions about food, exercise and everything else we want to do.

Ultimately, hypnotherapy offers an approach which makes change a lot easier, and it gives you the tools not just to create a new body image, but to create a new you!

Rebecca offers online hypnotherapy sessions over WhatsApp video chat or Skype as well as face to face at her clinics. Online sessions are just as effective as in person. This is because during the hypnosis you will be asked to close your eyees, so there is no need to be in the same room. All you need for an effective hypnotherapy session is access to a comfortable chair, sofa or bed. 

Rebecca also runs clinics in Hereford and in Malvern in Worcestershire. The Hereford clinic is within easy reach of Hereford, Ledbury, Leominster, Kington , Abergavenny, Newent and Ross on Wye. The Malvern clinic is better for those in places such as Malvern, Worcester, Upton upon Severn and Bromyard.
